Notice to Affiliate Stats Program users:

If you are finding this page, you are a webmaster or current or past affiliate of BetUS.com. As you know, they are no longer offering the live stats and content feed.

However, as providers of this service over the years, we wanted to leave it in place to ensure webmasters had the opportunity to embrace a new model. Or failing that, to at least be given additional notice to remove links from their site so that their pages are not plagued by broken links.

Odds aggregator service OddsShark.com has offered to continue offering the service for free in exchange for some credit links to their site. And GetChalk.com is offering the opportunity for some reduced-rate content packages for webmasters who want the content but insist all the traffic and credit remains theirs.

So on August 1, 2011, the current program will be switched to an OddsShark.com branded stats tool. This means instead of the BetUS.com logos, links and credits, there will be subtle OddsShark.com references. They are working on a model that can share traffic and revenue associated with clicks from the stats program.

It will amount to a barter relationship -- your site gets to keep the content and all the great daily updated stats, scores, matchups and trends and OddsShark.com gets to expand its reach by receiving links from your site. (*Important: Because of the way the program is organized, you will NOT incur any negative SEO ramifications as these links do NOT come from your site, rather from the stats tool program).

This presumes that BetUS.com leaves the product live on its domain while we transition the stats away from their affiliate team. If they decide to shut it down beforehand, the entire stats program will terminate and there will be error pages for any link from your site to the stats. We have been chatting with them and hope to secure their commitment to leave that in place until football season to give everyone the chance to make changes. In the interim, we suggest you change the links on your site from:

In other words, simply changing up the betus and replacing with chalkpartners in all your links ensures the stats will remain in place. You can then take your time to decide how you wish to proceed, knowing the links will not suddenly break.
